Job summary

First Student is hiring a Fueler / Utility Worker in New York to support paratransit operations. You will fuel vehicles, check fluid levels, maintain fuel records, and keep the yard and fuel island clean and safe. This is an outdoor, hands-on role ensuring daily dispatch readiness.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to logs and safety, and reliable attendance. Training will be provided, with extra hours possible based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Open gates and prep parking lot and fuel island for daily operations.
• Fuel paratransit vehicles and record accurate readings.
• Maintain fuel-related records (e.g., reports).
• Inspect vehicles and report issues to maintenance.
• Keep yard, fuel island, buildings and grounds clean and safe.
• Assist with light building and grounds maintenance.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
