Job summary

First Student is seeking a Service Employee to fuel and maintain school, activity, and commercial buses in our maintenance partnership. You will open the lot, position buses, log fuel readings, and coordinate dispatch to keep operations safe and timely.

The role includes basic vehicle maintenance, DOT safety compliance, and performing tasks as directed by the Location Manager. We offer full-time, year-round employment with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of bus maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to learn maintenance skills as needed.

Responsibilities

• Opens gates to the lot and checks bus parking areas to ensure dispatch in a timely manner.
• Repositions buses to prevent yard congestion.
• Maintains accurate records and completes fuel-related reports and meter readings.
• Notifies Location Manager when fuel delivery is needed and ensures accurate readings before/after delivery.
• Performs light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as required.
