Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED AND six months of helper-level experience in automotive, fleet maintenance, mechanical, equipment maintenance, or related field.
• Experience with government fleet maintenance or repair is preferred.
• Experience with automotive tools and equipment is desirable.
• Experience using fleet management software and Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists trades maintenance staff and others in performing duties.
• Performs operator-level inspections, servicing, and maintenance of tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Performs non-skilled replacement, repair or adjustment of facility or system components.
• Prepares and cleans areas or equipment undergoing repair, painting, maintenance or construction.
• Maintains security and accountability for tools, equipment and materials.
• Follows safety procedures and uses PPE.
• Maintains a clean and orderly workplace.
