Job summary

Garpiel Group in Michigan is seeking an experienced Fleet & Facilities Manager to lead shop operations, oversee vehicles, equipment, and facilities, and ensure assets are well-maintained for daily operations. You will supervise mechanics and shop staff, manage second-shift operations, coordinate with Division Managers, and track maintenance, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles, equipment, and maintenance operations.
• Proven ability to supervise team members and prioritize work.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems, reporting, and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and overall condition of company vehicles, equipment, and properties.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for all assets.
• Manage a work-order system documenting repairs, maintenance, costs, and completion status.
• Supervise mechanics and shop personnel, including weekly meetings to review repairs and priorities.
• Oversee second-shift operations and coordinate nightly loading and equipment preparation.
• Coordinate equipment needs and asset allocation with Division Managers and leadership.
