Job summary

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION GROUP-LAS VEGAS (PATG-LV) seeks an experienced Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair company vehicles, trailers, and traffic control equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and keep detailed service records while collaborating with management to prioritize repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of mechanic experience (diesel, automotive, and/or heavy equipment preferred).
• Must provide own tools.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• English reading/writing ability to understand instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, including trucks, vans, UTVs, and trailers.
• Service traffic control equipment such as arrow boards, message boards, light towers, and generators.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow established schedules and procedures for preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Identify and document damaged or worn parts; order and install replacements as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and unexpected breakdowns.
• Complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Keep shop areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Coordinate with management to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
• Collaborate across departments to support operations.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
