Job summary

CarMax in Asheville, NC is seeking a Fleet Driver I to transport vehicles safely and on time, supporting inventory flow and store/customer needs. Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining DOT logs, loading/unloading vehicles, and moving between locations.

Qualifications

• Must have valid state-issued CDL Class A.
• 2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (CMV acceptable).
• 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and secure vehicles for transport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in adherence to DOT and CarMax standards.
• Maintain DOT logs and required documentation.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using company trucks.
• Deliver vehicles on time to support inventory flow and store operations.
• Interact professionally with vendors, store staff, and the public.
