Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Portland, OR seeks a proactive dispatch specialist to pair vehicles and drivers each morning. You will dispatch drivers, keep payroll records for agency staff, and manage materials issued to drivers such as gas cards, fobs, keys and radios.

You will respond to emails quickly and keep logs updated throughout the day. You will also maintain route alerts, update routing windows, track pickups, and log daily activity and Wufoo reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years dispatch experience, preferably in transportation.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch all drivers and helpers.
• Daily record keeping of agency and helpers for payroll.
• Record and collect materials given to drivers (gas cards, fobs, keys, radios).
• Maintain hand truck inventory and update spreadsheet.
• Update ez-pass account and respond to emails within 5 minutes.
• Complete daily activity sheet and Wufoo report daily.
• Monitor routes, address issues, and inform drivers of updates.
• Assist drivers with directions and roadside guidance as needed.
• Update pickup and invoice records in AS400.
