Job summary

UPS is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to assist with Small Package dispatch activity, planning, and staffing. You will help ensure service, safety, and cost goals are met and coordinate with others to execute efficient dispatch plans and load/ trailer assignments.

Responsibilities include reviewing driver hours, conducting safety audits, and overseeing yard operations to align with planned load volumes and trailer inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Management experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews driver hours to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts hazardous materials audits.
• Reviews safety reports.
• Verifies appropriate driver uniforms and utilization of safe work methods.
• Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
• Provides feedback and support.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
