Job summary
Final Mile in Memphis, TN is seeking a Fleet Technician III to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of Class 8 tractor-trailer equipment, including diesel engines, drivetrains, electrical, HVAC, brakes and aftertreatment systems. You will focus on safety and DOT compliance while delivering high-quality repairs.
The role includes preventive maintenance, road testing, and documenting work in the maintenance system.
Qualifications
- 4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational / Technical or certification preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills.
- Expert understanding of fleet maintenance policies, DOT standards and industry practices.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and maintain Class 8 tractor-trailer equipment including diesel engines, drive trains, electrical, HVAC and aftertreatment systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and road tests to ensure vehicle uptime.
- Document repairs and maintenance in the maintenance system; mentor junior technicians as needed.
