Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a diesel credential is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and fuel systems in diesel engines.
• Experience with modern diagnostic tools and shop equipment.
• Analytical skills and teamwork to solve complex mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting on diesel engines.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs including engine overhauls and oil changes.
• Ensure fleet safety via thorough vehicle inspections and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain precise service records of all work performed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to boost shop productivity.
• Stay updated on emerging diesel technologies and repair methods.
• Explain repair needs and maintenance requirements clearly to customers.
