Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an automotive mechanic.
• Valid TN Class “B” Driver’s License with a “P” Endorsement and permit for Class A.
• Valid Refrigeration License (608) for refrigerants and systems used on the fleet.
• Must pass DOT drug/alcohol testing and DOT medical physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in gasoline, electric, hybrid and diesel-powered buses and related equipment.
• Remove, replace, diagnose, dismantle and repair engines, transmissions, suspensions, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical units using diagrams and schematics.
• Operate overhead cranes and hydraulic lifts; perform field and emergency road repairs.
• Maintain records of repairs and data in automated maintenance systems.
