Job summary

Edwards Moving & Rigging is seeking a Fleet Technician to troubleshoot and repair a variety of heavy haul fleet equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and use advanced diagnostic tools to keep trucks and trailers running reliably.

The role requires independence, safety consciousness, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or GED is required, with DOT training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• DOT inspection training preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Willingness to travel ~5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, tune-ups, brake work, and scheduled repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
• Use computer-based diagnostic systems and modern truck interfaces.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components as necessary.
• Remove and install heavy components using jacks, chain falls, cranes, and hoists.
• Inspect trucks, trailers, and equipment to identify problems before they become bigger ones.
• Maintain vehicle and maintenance records.
• Ensure fleet equipment meets applicable DOT requirements.
• Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe, usable condition.
• Work safely and leave equipment ready for operation.
