Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line in Alaska seeks a Lead Fleet Detailer to supervise maintenance and grooming of our motorcoaches, ensuring readiness for guest transport.

You will manage a team, oversee interior and exterior detailing, operate cleaning equipment, and enforce health and safety standards; a strong eye for detail and team leadership are essential. This is a seasonal full-time, on-site role in Ketchikan.

Qualifications

• Previous vehicle or automotive detailing experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record; MVR may be requested.
• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the fleet detailers and cleaning operations.
• Detail interior and exterior of fleet vehicles; clean windows, seats, floors, dashboards.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and pressure washers.
• Sanitize high-touch areas per health and safety protocols.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report damage or maintenance needs.

Our Fleet Detailer Supervisor plays a vital role in our transportation operations ensuring our fleet of motorcoaches are always ready to transport out guests through Alaska. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises the team of fleet detailers, the fleet cleaning operations and activities.
• Clean and detail the interior and exterior of fleet vehicles, including windows, seats, floors, dashboards, and exteriors.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and pressure washers.
• Sanitize high-touch areas and address biohazards or spills in accordance with health and safety protocols.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any damage or maintenance needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience involving vehicle or automotive detailing is normally preferred for this job.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Current, valid driver’s license, with a driving record that meets company’s clean driver eligibility requirements. Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be requested.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
