American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) is seeking a Fleet Deckhand to support safe loading and unloading of cargo, assist with rigging and vessel maintenance, and ensure safe operations on the waterways. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

ACBL offers a stable full-time schedule (8 days on, 4 days off) and opportunities for professional growth within a leading U.S.

• Basic understanding of navigation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe loading and unloading of cargo.
• Inspect conditions affecting safety of crew or cargo.
• Handle rigging during tow building, locking, and docking.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials to/from docks and boats.
• Examine cables, wires, and lines for fit-for-use; use tools to adjust.
• Secure barges using tow wires and cables safely and environmentally.
