Job summary

Reser’s Fine Foods is seeking an assistant to the Fleet Manager who, under moderate supervision, will help schedule, repair and maintain motor vehicles and equipment. The role supports daily operations across our fleet and ensures vehicles are ready for service.

Responsibilities include coordinating parts, entering repair orders, and working with suppliers on costs. A high school diploma and strong PC and communication skills are required, with opportunities for training and career growth within

Responsibilities

• Performs inventory control and parts ordering with record keeping.
• Receives parts, checks them, tags with in-house numbering, and sets up parts at shop locations.
• Enters repair orders and coordinates on-road or external repairs.
• Sets daily work schedule and maintains preventive maintenance schedule.
• Collaborates with suppliers on parts costs.
• Arranges moving of equipment between sites for repairs.
• Arranges truck changes with dispatchers when vehicles are out of service.
• Procures vehicles and conducts asset control activities.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs inventory control and parts ordering including record keeping activities.
2. Parts receiving including checking parts, tagging with in-house parts numbering, and setting up parts at shop locations
3. Enters repair orders, researches and sets up road repair or outside repair including repair for on-road break downs
4. Sets up work schedule for the day and inputs, adds, modifies and maintains preventative maintenance schedule
5. Works with suppliers on costs for parts
6. Set-up moving of equipment between sites for repairs.
7. Arrange for truck changes with dispatchers when trucks are out of service.
8. Procures vehicles and performs property control activities.

Job Specifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Excellent PC skills required.
3. Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.
