Job summary

Reser’s is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee all fleet and equipment for the transportation department. You will direct tractor/trailer operations, maintenance planning, cost control, and safety compliance.

You will lead mechanics, manage a large fleet (100 straight trucks, 180 tractor trailers), and ensure DOT/OSHA standards. Strong PC skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years fleet management experience is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of basic mechanics and operation of tractor trailers and straight trucks.
• Excellent PC skills are required.
• Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages all company tractors, trailers, straight trucks, and two truck shops.
• Hire, trains, and supervises mechanics.
• Develops and implements preventative maintenance schedules for all company trucks/equipment.
• Manages 100 straight trucks and 180 tractor trailers.
• Coordinates and prioritizes cost effective truck/equipment repair.
• Ensures with DOT, OSHA, and safety compliance, record keeping and reporting.
• Maintenance and reporting of fleet costs.
• Manages acquisitions and disposal processes.

This position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
