The Swope Family of Dealerships in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Fleet/Commercial Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to dealership standards. You will handle maintenance orders, perform multi-point inspections, provide labor estimates, and communicate with service staff to keep workflow smooth.

Qualifications

• Must have Ford dealership experience or familiarity with warranty work.
• Ford Certifications are preferred.
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies and computer skills.
• Analytical and multi-tasking abilities required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistent and stable work history and attendance.
• Professional appearance and work ethic are essential.
• Extensive knowledge/experience of vehicle repairs preferred.
• All candidates must pass pre-employment testing including background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform maintenance/repair work per orders to dealership standards (Customer Pay and Warranty).
• Perform used car checklists to identify repairs needed.
• Complete full multi-point inspections and provide labor/time estimates.
• Communicate with Service Advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and document findings for required repairs.
• Demonstrate guest service and provide clear vehicle updates to customers.
• Test batteries of guest vehicles in service bay.
• Promote teamwork to meet guest expectations.
• Continuously learn new technical information in formal training.

The Fleet/Commercial Technician will:

• Diagnose and perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards. Customer Pay and Warranty Work


• Perform used car checklists to identify what repairs need to be made.


• Complete full multi-point inspections and provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.


• Communicate with Service Advisor’s to ensure efficient work flow.


• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.


• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles.


• Test batteries of guest vehicles in service bay.


• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations.


• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay knowledgeable with rapidly changing technology.

Qualifications

• Must have Main Line/Warranty experience


• Ford Certifications


• High School diploma or GED


• Must be 18 years old or older.


• Must have a valid driver's license.


• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies and computer skills.


• Ability to be analytical and multi-task.


• Self-motivated, enthusiastic presence in a team environment.


• Strong written and communication skills.


• Consistent and stable work history and work attendance.


• Professional appearance and work ethic.
