Job summary

Kirby is seeking Deckhands to work aboard fleet boats in the Channelview area. Responsibilities include handling lines, scheduled maintenance, and general housekeeping duties. The position works 12-hour shifts, with schedules varying from 14 days on/7 days off or 20 days on/10 days off.

Applicants must hold a valid TWIC card, driver’s license, and meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements. Competitive daily pay of $207 plus benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to satisfy all U.S. Coast Guard physical and drug testing requirements.
• Must not have any criminal charges pending or be on probation.
• Must be able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Deckhands will handle lines and cables to tie/untie barges and boats.
• Perform scheduled vessel maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Adhere to company safety policy and procedures.

Ability to understand written and verbal orders

Climbing 25-30 ft
