Job summary

The City of Peoria Public Works has an excellent opportunity for an Automotive Technician I in the Fleet Division. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of automotive and heavy equipment, including specialized vehicles such as fire pumpers and aerial trucks.

• 1-2 years of experience in automotive maintenance or similar role.

• Possession of 2 ASE Certificates or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on automotive and heavy equipment.
