Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain a diverse range of vehicles, including delivery vans, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers, with diesel and gasoline propulsion systems.

The role requires troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls. Responsibilities include meeting DOT requirements, climbing and lifting tasks, operating transmissions and tools, and ensuring reliable on-time

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computer.
• Possesses a full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Required.

Responsibilities

• Meets the D.O.T. requirements required by the job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout the duration of the workday.
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout the duration of the workday.
• Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions
• Operates power and pneumatic tools
