Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. The technician will maintain a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers, with propulsion systems ranging from diesel to electric in some locations.

Must possess hand tools and be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday, depending on location. CDL preferred but not required. Safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently.
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
