Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Fleet Automotive Technician for a 4-day, day-shift schedule in District Heights, MD. The role includes servicing DOT vehicles, performing routine maintenance, and handling diagnostics and inspections at client sites.

Weekly pay and paid certifications are offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package. A valid DOT brake certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days is required, with training available as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing qualified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and brake-related services.
• Willingness to obtain DOT Brake Certification within 30 days or use company support to obtain it.
• Must have a valid drivers license and meet DOT physical requirements, including being at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Servicing delivery vans and DOT vehicles for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site.
• Perform line technician services: oil changes, tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventive maintenance, tire installation.
• Perform advanced repairs and state inspections as needed.
• Training for this role may occur in a customer retail environment before client-site work.
