Job summary

VIP Auto Accessories in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an Automotive Technician for our fleet maintenance team.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles, from vans to light- and medium-duty trucks, and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools. You will maintain accurate service records, communicate timelines with customers, and collaborate with scheduling to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on automotive and/or diesel repair experience, fleet maintenance a plus.
• ASE/Manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across brakes, suspension, electrical systems and engines.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including light- and medium-duty trucks and vans.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers about repairs and timelines.
• Collaborate with scheduling teams to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize downtime.
• Recommend proactive maintenance strategies to help customers avoid future issues.
