Job summary

VIP Auto Accessories is seeking an Automotive Technician for its fleet maintenance team in the St. Louis area. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and compliance.

You’ll keep accurate service records and communicate timelines to customers, while collaborating with schedulers to minimize downtime. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of automotive/diesel repair, strong diagnostic skills, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on automotive and/or diesel repair experience (fleet maintenance a plus).
ASE/Manufacturer certifications preferred.
Strong diagnostic skills with modern diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of brakes, suspension, electrical systems and engine repair.
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) with clean driving record.
Ability to work independently.
Customer-first mindset and pride in delivering quality work.
Good communication skills.
Personal set of tools.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles (light to medium duty).
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with diagnostic tools.
Complete inspections ensuring safety and compliance.
Maintain service records and communicate repairs and timelines to customers.
Coordinate with scheduling teams to prioritize urgent repairs.
Recommend proactive maintenance to prevent future issues.
