Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. seeks an Automotive Preventive Maintenance Technician in Sparks, NV to service the company’s latest fleet.

You’ll be performing routine maintenance, oil changes, tire and brake work, and basic repairs to Ford and GMC trucks with the support of Ford, GMC and U-Haul training programs. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and hands-on mechanical work, with opportunities for growth and access to training and protective gear.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills may be required for digital checklists and records.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
