Job summary

Zipcar in Bronx, NY is seeking a Fleet Operations Associate to keep vehicles clean, maintained, and ready for member use across the city. You’ll travel by foot, bike, transit, or Zipcar to move cars where they are needed, performing basic tasks such as tire checks, fueling, cleaning, and coordinating tow or repair.

You will join a Fleet Operations Team focused on safety and hands-on service. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors are required;

• Strong time management to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication with operations team about vehicle status updates.
• Willingness to work outdoors and outdoors-related conditions.

Responsibilities

• Be the front line of the Fleet Operations Team, ensuring member satisfaction.
• Move vehicles around the city and coordinate basic maintenance tasks (tire checks, fueling, cleaning).
• Support towing or repair coordination as needed.

As a Fleet Operations Associate , you will work all around the city as part of our Fleet Operations Team to ensure cars are clean, maintained and transport them to where they need to be for our Zipcar members. You’ll zip around by foot, bike, public transit or use a Zipcar to ensure our vehicles are ‘member-ready’ – this might mean changing a tire, filling the gas tank, cleaning, or helping to coordinate a tow or repair.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and tasks

• Excellent communication with operations team to ensure the vehicle status updates are provided

• Flexibility to work 40-hour weeks which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Willingness to work outdoors (weather and other conditions vary)

• Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record (per company standards)

• Ability to carry tools and marketing materials (up to 50 lbs.)
