What You'll Do

• Facilitate strategic planning for designated logistics operations, including internal CMC fleet and supporting owner-operators, dedicated contract haulers, and third-party contract haulers.
• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling to support fleet vehicle availability requirements.
• Maintain fleet records (electronic and paper), including titles, registration, and lease status.
• Engage and manage relationships with fleet service providers (repairs/maintenance, taxes, etc.).
• Ensure CMC fleet operates in compliance with DOT regulations and internal standards.
• Inspect fleet equipment and review maintenance for roadworthiness and compliance.
• Own and maintain relationships with fleet service providers, outlining requirements and expectations to maximize benefits.
• Utilize SAP Maintenance Module to document activities, record corrective actions, and order parts.
• Assist drivers with mechanical issues and coordinate with service providers to minimize downtime.
• Minimum of five years' experience in freight negotiations, warehouse operations, transportation, planning, carrier performance management, and logistics.
• Audit fleet records to ensure completeness and accuracy, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Identify and assess compliance issues, collecting and analyzing evidence.

• Advanced negotiation skills
• SAP experience a plus
• Knowledge of DOT manual compliance and regulations
• Demonstrated leadership skills to manage DOT compliance to high standards
• High integrity, strong character, and professional presence
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain activities
• High School Diploma or GED
