Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for acquiring, selling, and trading in fleet assets (box trucks, passenger vehicles, forklifts).
  • Research, identify and work with potential suppliers, vendors and manufacturers of vehicles and equipment.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including orders and receipts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers for competitive pricing.
  • Maintain contracts, invoices, and warranties documentation.
  • Coordinate selling of retired trucks, lifts, etc.
  • Resolve conflicts in the workplace using company values as guidance.
  • Oversee the Transport Associate and ensure on-time vehicle deliveries.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.
  • Support company goals and uphold K&M Values.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Fleet Acquisition Manager works under the direction of the Associate Director of Real Estate & Fleet. Responsibilities include overseeing the acquisition process of vehicles and equipment necessary for the operations of K&M Tire. This role requires a keen understanding of fleet management principles, excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Work in conjunction with the Associate Director of Real Estate & Facilities to develop and implement strategies for acquiring, selling, and trading in box trucks, passenger vehicles, forklifts, squeeze clamps and pickers.
  2. Research, identify and work with potential suppliers, vendors and manufacturers of vehicles and equipment.
  3. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements for the company.
  4. Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including order placement, tracking and receipt of goods.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers to leverage partnerships and secure competitive pricing and terms.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fleet acquisitions, including contracts, invoices, and warranties.
  7. Coordinate and initiate the selling of retired trucks, lifts, etc.
  8. Responsible for managing and resolving conflict in the work environment by using the company values as a guide.
  9. Oversee the Transport Associate and ensuring the vehicles are being delivered on time
  10. Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
