Job summary

IFF Inc. in South Brunswick, New Jersey, is seeking a Production Operator to control or operate machinery along the production line, assist with packaging, and perform chemical blending.

The role may require handling heavy machinery and standing for long shifts; second shift runs 3:30pm–11:50pm, Monday–Friday. Responsibilities include compound handling, forklift operation, maintaining safety and GMP standards, keeping areas clean, and collaborating with teams to improve procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Able to wear respirator
• Able to operate forklift and other equipment
• Able to handle heavy machinery and electrical currents
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Experience in chemical process manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Compound as required by production demand by following shop floor precisely as instructed to do so by shop floor papers.
• Responsible for safe operation of forklift and all material handling equipment within the work area.
• Maintain a safe working environment, utilize appropriate safety equipment and proactively improve the safety culture of the department.
• Maintain processing area and equipment in a clean, sanitary and presentable condition; adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and exemplary housekeeping standards.
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team to solve problems, develop procedures, and recommend improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned , Including other departments as needed.
