Job summary

SGS Consulting in the United States (New Jersey) seeks a flavor applications specialist to prepare Sweet Goods and Beverage prototypes in bench top and pilot labs, and to evaluate flavors for product development. The role requires a chemistry/food science background and 1–2 years of related experience, with strong math and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include maintaining formulations and quality specs, working independently or in teams, and reporting to a Senior Portfolio/Collection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, or related field.
• 1–2 years in flavor applications or food product development is a plus.
• Proficiency in fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Organize and complete individual and team projects to deadlines.
• Prepare production of bench top and pilot lab prototypes for Sweet Goods and Beverage.
• Apply flavors and evaluate products in the evaluation process.
• Maintain current formulations, raw materials, and quality specs in computer systems.
