Job summary

Brookside Flavors and Ingredients in Branchburg Township, NJ is hiring a Compounder to weigh and mix ingredients according to formulas, stage materials, prevent cross-contamination, and operate mixers and spray dryers in a fast-paced plant.

You will maintain batch records, follow food safety policies, and collaborate with QA/R&D on rework and scale-ups. A HS diploma is required with 1+ year flavor compounding or related machine operation experience; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year flavor compounding or 1 year machine operation in relevant manufacturing.
• Attention to detail for unit of measure requirements.
• Experience with scales, tare and gram/pound measurements preferred.
• Forklift experience highly desired.
• Basic computer skills required.
• English speaking, reading and writing required.
• Excellent attendance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Stage ingredients for batch to ensure all materials are accounted for.
• Process batch according to formula, weighing ingredients precisely.
• Maintain batch records and document process events.
• Operate mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks.
• Take samples and coordinate with lab testing.
• Notify supervisor if batch is off spec and determine salvageability.
• Pack and label final product per customer specifications.
• Adhere to PPE and safety guidelines; overtime may be required.
