Job summary

Open Road Automotive Group is seeking a Flat Bed driver responsible for transporting vehicles, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and assisting with loading/unloading. You will plan routes, log hours, and retain receipts while adhering to safety and company policies.

Ideal candidates have proven truck driving experience, ability to tow trailers, and knowledge of trucking regulations. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday with an 8-hour day and requires physical capability and background/drug

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to drive trucks and tow trailers.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations in the last 3 years.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks.
• Physical dexterity. Good hand-eye-foot coordination.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Awareness of, and ability to adhere to, safety standards at all times.
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be available to work a five day work week.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles over land to and from points of origin to destination sites.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver truck into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Inspect tow truck for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.
