Job summary

LST Group LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Flatbed Pricing Analyst to develop, analyze, and manage pricing strategies for our flatbed transportation services. This role is critical to ensuring competitive rates, healthy margins, and strong carrier and customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, familiarity with the flatbed freight market, and the ability to translate data into actionable pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in freight pricing, logistics analytics, or transportation
• Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with pricing/analytics tools
• Solid understanding of flatbed equipment types, lane dynamics, and market drivers
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with load boards and rate benchmarking tools (e.g., DAT, Truckstop) preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze flatbed freight rates, market trends, and lane data to develop pricing
• Build and maintain pricing models for spot and contract freight
• Collaborate with sales and operations to quote rates
• Monitor fuel costs, capacity trends, and seasonal demand to adjust pricing
• Evaluate historical shipment data to identify pricing opportunities and margins
• Prepare reports and dashboards on pricing performance and market benchmarks
• Support RFP/RFQ processes with pricing analysis and bid strategy
• Partner with carrier procurement to ensure pricing aligns with capacity
• Stay current on flatbed industry trends and competitor pricing practices
