Job summary

Dixie Plywood & Lumber Co seeks an experienced CDL driver to transport building materials to customers on a flat-bed fleet. You will complete delivery documentation, tarp loads in inclement weather, and keep accurate DOT logs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in truck driving or related fields; minimum of three year verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to handle physical workload, to include heavy lifting and securing loads.
• Must be able to access cab and trailer at each stop and tarp/secure loads.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flat-bed tractor-trailer (CDL Class A) or flat-bed straight truck (CDL Class B) to transport building materials to customers.
• Prepare, receive and provide documentation for delivery or pick up of products.
• Tarp cargo in inclement weather.
• Maintain DOT travel logs according to Federal and State regulations.
• Inspect truck before and after trip.
• Report any issues or incidents to Supervisor.
• Maintain professional appearance and provide great customer service.
