Job summary

Dixie Plywood & Lumber Co. of San Antonio is seeking a full-time Day shift Truck Driver to safely operate flat-bed equipment and deliver building materials. You will prepare and provide delivery documentation, tarp cargo in inclement weather, and maintain DOT logs in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting issues to the supervisor, and upholding a professional appearance and excellent customer service at all stops.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and secure loads with straps.
• Must ascend/descend into cab and trailer.
• Flat-bed and tarping experience.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and professional appearance.
• Pass DOT medical examination and maintain medical card.
• Employment and driving records must be satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flat-bed tractor-trailer to transport building materials to customers.
• Prepare and provide documentation for delivery or pickup.
• Tar cargo in inclement weather.
• Maintain DOT travel logs per Federal and State regulations.
• Inspect truck before and after trip.
• Report issues or incidents to Supervisor.
• Maintain professional appearance and provide great customer service.
