Job summary

TGI Fridays in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Bartender to create drinks quickly and accurately while delivering a memorable guest experience. You will engage guests, upsell items, and maintain a clean bar following brand standards.

The role requires excellent communication, the ability to read guests, and strict adherence to responsible alcohol service. You will operate the POS system and stand for long shifts in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved dress code at all times.
• Must be able to mix drinks quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
• Must follow standards of Responsible Service of Alcohol.
• Must meet local jurisdiction requirements, including obtaining required certifications.
• Must be able to operate P.O.S. system, make change correctly and process credit card transactions.
• Must be able to respond calmly to angry Guests and notify a Manager.
• Must pass initial and annual validation.
• Must respond clearly to Guests’ requests.
• Must be able to hear well in loud environments.
• Must be able to stand for entire shift.
• Must be able to lift 30 lb. cases and carry short distances.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a warm, welcoming atmosphere at the bar.
• ID all Guests ordering alcoholic beverages who appear 40 or younger.
• Prepare, garnish, and serve drinks promptly.
• Engage with Guests by making drinks in front of them with flair.
• Know the menu and make beverage and food recommendations.
• Upsell food or drink items when appropriate.
• Keep the bar area clean and organized.
• Ring up all orders in the POS accurately while socializing with Guests.
• Follow brand standards for service.
• Promote specials and build a regular clientele.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service and cutoff intoxicated Guests when needed.
