Job summary

La Cabra seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead our new Chelsea flagship bakery and café in New York City. This hands-on role guides daily operations, hospitality standards, and performance across the bakery and café, working closely with the Bakery Manager, Head Baker, Coffee Manager, and Lead Baristas to deliver a cohesive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a high-volume cafe, bakery, restaurant, or similar hospitality operation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage scheduling, payroll, cash handling, ordering, inventory, and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations across the café and bakery environment.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality, service, cleanliness, and organization.
• Ensure compliance with NYC health requirements and inspections.
• Lead onboarding, training, and development of baristas, shift leads, and staff.
• Create and manage weekly staff schedules; review timecards and payroll.
• Manage weekly ordering of coffee, milk, tea, supplies, and merchandise; monitor inventory.
• Lead interviews and hiring with the management team; drive continuous improvement across workflows.
