Job summary

Jefferson County Public Works Department seeks a part-time Road Maintenance Flagger/Laborer. This position performs various road maintenance tasks including traffic control, cleaning culverts, cleaning drainage ditches, patching roads, and litter pickup. This is clerk hire position works a maximum of 69 hours per month.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. Washington State Traffic Control Flagger certification is desirable; training may be provided.

Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Washington State Traffic Control Flagger certification card desirable; however, Employer can provide training for the right candidate.

Valid WA State driver’s license with clean driving record.

Hours & Compensation: This is a part-time Clerk Hire position that may work up to 69 hours per month. The pay rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. This position has no benefits, except sick leave. This position earns one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
