Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Program Analyst to support the AI&S portfolio within Team Submarine.

The role provides daily executive-level support to the Chief of Staff, ensuring smooth operations and timely actions for senior leaders at the Washington Navy Yard. The ideal candidate has Navy administration experience, 8+ years in front office management or executive support, and strong organizational skills with proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.

The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to Director Submarine Program directorates and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Director Submarine Program unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy’s top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program, the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), and the AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Office, to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Director Submarine Program will continue SPA’s decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. #MC

Responsibilities

In this role, the Program Analyst will serve as a strategic, front office support analyst who will be supporting the AUKUS International & Systems (AI&S) portfolio within Team Submarine. This role directly supports the AI&S Chief of Staff with daily running of the office, providing executive integration, coordination, and action management across the AI&S enterprise. Other responsibilities include support AI&S Chief of Staff in daily responsibilities; maintain accurate, organized, and up to date files to ensure easy retrieval for Senior Leaders; support correspondence management and process for the AI&S Director; assist with special projects and initiatives as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, Navy administrative and correspondence experience, team-building skills, attention to detail, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This position is located at the Washington Navy Yard.

Qualifications
  • Navy background with experience in naval administration and correspondence
  • 8+ years’ experience in front office management and/or executive level support
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in handling organizational elements such as taskers, correspondence, scheduling, and coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Current DoD SECRET clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Organizational Management, Operations, or a related field is desirable.
  • Previous experience with NAVSEA, Team Submarine, or similar programs and knowledgeable of Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced environment
