Qualifications

About the Role

Aldridge Pite LLP has an immediate need for an Associate Attorney to join our Florida Evictions team. The ideal candidate will handle a high-volume caseload of post-foreclosure and landlord-tenant eviction matters on behalf of our clients. While prior eviction litigation experience is preferred, it is not required. Candidates must be licensed in Florida; additional bar admissions are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage an active caseload of eviction matters from inception to resolution.
  2. Draft and review legal documents including complaints, motions, oppositions, and discovery.
  3. Conduct legal research and provide advice to clients regarding eviction strategy and compliance.
  4. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and related proceedings (courtroom experience preferred).
  5. Stay up to date on eviction laws and legal trends across the United States.
  6. Communicate legal updates and strategic advice to clients as needed.

Qualifications

  1. Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  2. Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
  3. Minimum of one year of legal experience (eviction, foreclosure, litigation, or title experience preferred).
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.
  6. Effective courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills.
  7. High level of organization and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently using our proprietary case management system.
  9. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  10. Proficiency in Westlaw and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  11. Strong client service and relationship management skills.
