Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking a Fixture Technician to build and repair fixtures and secondary equipment. You will dismantle, reassemble, troubleshoot, and overhauls fixtures while performing welding, cutting, and brazing as needed.

The role requires adjusting designs and maintaining comprehensive records in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of progressive fixture experience and demonstrates strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a scored Wonderlic

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in fixture building and repair.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions.
• Wonderlic Select Assessment score: at least 50 (traditional portion 20).

Responsibilities

• Build and repair fixtures.
• Review and improve design on current and new fixtures.
• Prepare quotes on new fixtures.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on fixtures and secondary equipment.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble fixtures and related equipment.
• Design and build manufacturing equipment such as welders, work stations, and conveyor systems.
• Test fixtures and components to ensure proper operation.
• Modify jigs and fixtures to correct problems.
• Maintain records of repairs, modifications, and inventory.
• Welds, cuts, and brazes metal for repair and fabrication purposes.
• Inspect fixtures and report needed repairs.
• Train personnel in the proper use of new fixtures.
• Complete forms and paperwork for documentation.
