Job summary

TJX Companies in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Fixture Development Project Lead to guide fixture programs from concept through implementation across brands. You will partner with suppliers and internal teams to meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives while mentoring specialists.

The role requires 3+ years in project management within retail or construction, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3+ years project management experience.
• 3-5 years retail, construction, fixture, manufacturing, or store planning experience preferred.
• Experience with forecasting, purchasing, and supplier management.
• Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in Photoshop and Autodesk Forma (Build) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads fixture development projects from concept, testing, and approval through implementation.
• Serves as primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Develops project schedules and manages critical milestones.
• Partners directly with suppliers to ensure successful development, manufacturing, and deployment of fixture programs.
• Manages prototype timelines and resolves project obstacles.
• Evaluates supplier performance.
• Develops cost estimates and quantity forecasts utilizing Sage and Excel.
• Negotiates pricing and project costs with suppliers.
• Ensures recommended solutions are scalable and financially sound.
• Reviews and approves fixture drawings, specifications, and prototype designs.
• Conducts physical evaluations of prototype fixtures.
• Ensures compatibility with existing fixture generations and store environments.
• Recommends design improvements and operational enhancements.
• Develops installation guides, communication packets, and project documentation.
• Trains internal partners including the Fixture Purchasing, Fixture Specialists, Construction, and Store Planning teams.
• Provides quality review and approval of proposed Fixture Manual updates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to departmental standards prior to publication.
• Provides coaching and guidance to Fixture Development Specialists.
• Supports Managers on strategic initiatives and process improvements.

The Fixture Development Project Lead independently leads fixture development projects from initial concept through final implementation across all TJX brands, serving as the primary point of contact and driving collaboration among cross-functional teams. It is responsible for ensuring projects meet quality, timeline, budget, scalability, and operational objectives while presenting solutions and recommendations to key stakeholders. In addition, the role provides mentorship and guidance to Specialists and serves as a technical resource, contributing expertise and support across the department.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Project Leadership

• Leads fixture development projects from concept, testing, and approval through implementation.
• Serves as primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Conducts project kickoff meetings and stakeholder reviews.
• Develops project schedules and manages critical milestones.

Supplier & Manufacturing Management

• Partners directly with suppliers to ensure successful development, manufacturing, and deployment of fixture programs.
• Manages prototype timelines and resolves project obstacles.
• Evaluates supplier performance.

Cost Management

• Develops cost estimates and quantity forecasts utilizing Sage and Excel.

Technical Development

• Reviews and approves fixture drawings, specifications, and prototype designs.

Who We're Looking for: You.

All benefits are subject to applicable plan or program terms (including eligibility terms) and may change from time to time.

This position has a starting salary range of USD $76,800.00 to $97,900.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
