What you’ll be doing
  • Operating the King Air 200 as a single‑pilot in air ambulance operations.
  • Maintaining readiness in the Durango, CO (DRO) facility for critical‑care flights averaging 800 miles throughout the Front Range and surrounding states.
  • Performing thorough pre‑flight inspections, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, and complying with FAA and company regulations.
  • Supervising the safe loading of patients, medical crew, equipment, and baggage, ensuring weight and balance standards are met.
  • Coordinating with ground crews and medical teams to ensure efficient communication and mission success.
  • Upholding FAA regulations, Flight for Life® procedures, company flight operations manuals, and contributing to Mayo Aviation’s Safety Management System.
Qualifications
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, with a valid U.S. passport.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Current First Class Medical Certificate and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum flight experience:

  • Must live within one hour of Durango, CO (DRO) or be willing to relocate.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts.
