Job summary

George J. Priester Aviation is seeking a Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Pilot to operate the King Air 200 from Durango, CO (DRO). This is a single-pilot air medical role within a busy Part 135/91 environment, delivering critical-care transport across the Front Range and beyond.

The position requires a valid ATP, First Class Medical, and extensive flight hours with a strong safety record. Typical schedule involves rotations and a demanding, life-saving mission profile that delivers meaningful impact

Qualifications

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Current First Class Medical Certificate and ATP Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum flight experience: 2,500 hours total time; 500 hours multi-engine; 1,000 hours PIC.
  • Must live within one hour of Durango, CO (DRO) or be willing to relocate.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Operating the King Air 200 as a single-pilot in air ambulance operations.
  • Maintaining readiness in the Durango, CO (DRO) facility for critical-care flights averaging 800 miles throughout the Front Range and surrounding states.
  • Performing thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, and complying with FAA and company regulations.
  • Supervising the safe loading of patients, medical crew, equipment, and baggage, ensuring weight and balance standards are met.
  • Coordinating with ground crews and medical teams to ensure efficient communication and mission success.
  • Upholding FAA regulations, Flight for Life procedures, company flight operations manuals, and contributing to Mayo Aviation’s Safety Management System.

What you’ll be doing:
