Job summary

Transdev North America in Nassau County, NY is seeking part‑time fixed route bus drivers to transport passengers safely and courteously across the county. You will greet riders, collect fares, and maintain a safe environment as you navigate local routes.

Candidates must have a NY CDL Class B or higher with passenger air brakes, a current MVR, and be able to work flexible shifts. DOT drug testing applies. Strong customer service and communication skills are a must, with a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid NY State CDL Class B or higher, with full passenger air brakes in good standing.
• Recent MVR issued within the last 30 days.
• Previous bus or heavy‑duty vehicle driving experience preferred.
• Excellent customer and communication skills.

• Subject to DOT drug testing; Schedule I drugs prohibited.

Hiring Immediately for Fixed Route Drivers! Transdev is actively hiring bus drivers for its fixed‑route transit service in Nassau County, NY. We are looking for safe, friendly drivers to help passengers move around throughout the county using public transportation.

Compensation & Benefits

Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 paid in six installments.

Starting hourly rate $26.28–$28.12 with progression to $43.80–$48.18 over eight years.
