Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a consultative expert in dealer fixed operations to support growth and retention of F&I products and claims services in the Pittsburgh area. You will develop and execute strategies to mitigate claims leakage while meeting territory performance goals and provide operational support to dealer accounts.

The role involves collaborating with matrix partners, serving as a technical SME on profitability and financial structure, and training new team members.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills to assess data and identify trends.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the “Hawthorne Effect” through regular onsite presence at assigned dealers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with dealer personnel including principals and decision-makers.
  • Analyze assigned accounts to identify opportunities for loss control.
  • Create and implement customized action plans for each assigned dealer.
  • Establish a dealer-facing contact cadence based on loss performance.
  • Handle individual claims as needed or reconcile claim issues including adjudication of complex claims.
  • Perform mechanical inspections at assigned accounts as needed.
  • Deliver dealer-facing training to support products, processes and action plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all activities in Salesforce.
  • Communicate with matrix partners to support dealer retention and acquisitions.

Work Schedule

Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Opportunity

The successful candidate must reside in the Pittsburgh, PA area and serve as a consultative expert within dealer fixed operations, supporting the growth and retention of Ally's F&I products and claims services. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to mitigate claims leakage while achieving territory performance objectives. The position supports the continued growth of the F&I business by delivering exceptional service, operational support, and consultative guidance to assigned dealer accounts. Additionally, the individual will collaborate with matrix partners as a technical subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations related to financial structure, profitability, and business performance. The role also requires establishing accountability and leveraging behavioral performance management techniques, including the Hawthorne Effect, to influence dealer behaviors and trends that impact loss performance.

The Work Itself
  • Establish the “Hawthorne Effect” through regular and consistent onsite presence at assigned dealers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with dealer personnel including principles and key decision-makers
  • Analyze assigned accounts to identify opportunities for loss control
  • Create and implement customized action plans for each assigned dealer to address identified opportunities
  • Establish a dealer-facing contact cadence appropriate for assigned dealer based on loss performance
  • Handle individual claims as needed or reconcile claim issues including adjudication of complex claims
  • Perform mechanical inspections at assigned accounts based on business need
  • Perform consultative reviews to assess sales versus submission, repair orders and used car trends, communicate results, impact and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Deliver dealer-facing training to support products, processes and action plans
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all activities in SalesForce
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with matrix partners to support dealer retention and acquisitions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and assist with training and onboarding new team members
  • Participate in additional training, educational activities, and regulatory compliance awareness
  • Engage in and lead special projects
Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of Automotive industry experience preferred;
  • prior dealer experience preferred
  • Automotive technical expertise preferred
  • Ability to develop relationships with dealer principals and decision makers
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must possess excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Analytical skills to assess data and identify trends
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Power BI
  • Strong customer service skills and professional presence
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Base Pay Range

Base Pay Range $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
