Job summary

Hilltop Securities Inc. invites ambitious students to join its Fixed Income Capital Markets team as a Summer Intern in an in-person program from May 24, 2027 to July 30, 2027.

You will gain hands-on experience on a full-service trading desk, learning about treasury, agency, corporate, municipal, and mortgage-backed bonds, working with Traders, Sales, and the Strategies team. Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing business, finance, economics, or related field.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 0–1 years of experience preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and Windows.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Experience on a full-service sales and trading desk, learning about treasury, agency, corporate, municipal, and mortgage-backed bonds.
• Work directly with Traders and Sales team
• Learn desk technique and strategy
• Support Strategies team to aid sales and trading
• Assist in developing fixed income analytical tools and reporting
• Streamline daily tasks and processes
