Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct bottom-up fundamental research and analysis to drive investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with Fixed Income Investment Professionals to generate investment ideas.
  • Monitor holdings through deep fundamental research on companies and industries.
  • Facilitate meetings with management teams, sell-side firms, and industry specialists.
  • Analyze capital structures and perform relative value comparisons.
  • Contribute to the high yield corporate credit investment process.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive charts and visualizations to support credit analysis.
  • Engage in occasional travel for research trips.
Required Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in credit research, preferably in high yield corporate credit.
  • Extensive experience with financial modeling and fundamental credit analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, STEM, or a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, SQL, R) and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and maintain relationships within and outside the organization.
Compensation

Southern California Base Salary Range: $136,858 - $218,973

New York Base Salary Range: $145,077 - $232,123

Eligible for individual annual performance bonus and Capital’s annual profitability bonus, plus a retirement plan contribution of 15% of eligible earnings.
