Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Baltimore seeks an Analyst for the Fixed Income Product Control team within ISG Finance. You will support controllership, ensure accuracy of financial reporting, and partner with multiple stakeholders to deliver daily P&L reporting and balance sheet substantiation.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Finance, Accounting, financial markets, or financial products with interest in Fixed Income markets.
• Previous experience in financial services, audit, accounting, product control, operations, or related control function preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to investigate and explain financial results.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Control-minded approach with judgment to escalate issues and challenge processes constructively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with data, reporting, or automation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce, investigate, and report daily P&L, including analysis of drivers and movements.
• Partner with BU, Technology, Operations, and other Controllers for accurate P&L reporting and timely issue resolution.
• Review and allocate P&L attribution into market-based and non-market-based effects.
• Support monthly net revenue and balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation.
• Escalate, research, and resolve breaks, reporting issues, and stakeholder questions promptly.
• Contribute to execution and improvement of controls, procedures, and reporting processes.
• Support finance initiatives, ad hoc analysis, and projects strengthening control environment.
