Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is seeking an Investment Analyst Intern for our U.S. team in Plymouth, MN.

This full-time paid internship runs 8–12 weeks starting in early June 2027, giving hands-on experience with fixed income markets, credit analysis, and portfolio risk management. You will work directly with portfolio managers and analysts, learning to analyze investment-grade and non-investment-grade companies while building financial models and supporting reporting for the investment

Qualifications

Finance, Economics, or Business degree (completed or in progress).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong conviction.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Team player, highly collaborative and strong work ethic.
High ethical standards.
Experience with programming: VBA, Python.

Responsibilities

Perform credit analysis and security valuation.
Perform independent and directed data analysis across economics, asset classes, industries and individual companies.
Build and maintain financial statement models.
Produce and develop reporting for the investment team.
Prepare materials for investment team and senior management.
Present to team, portfolio managers and senior management.
